Do you guys remember this strip, and its supposed historical inaccuracy?

Well, I was just reading a book about the generals in the American Revolution and it turns out this isn’t all that historically inaccurate.

William Howe was a general in the British Army who was sent to the colonies to fight against the Continental Army. He actually liked the Americans, and spent most of his time trying to make them realize the benefits of living under British rule, which is contrary to King George III’s “Punish the Americans” campaign.

General Howe, instead, sympathized with the Americans and wrote many reconciliation letters to George Washington, who refused to even open the letters.

Unfortunately, Canada did not attach food to the letters… if only, if only.
